This Stimuli article presents concepts and examples of potential approaches to reducing the environmental impact associated with manufacturing operations in the healthcare sector and, ideally, enabling the transformation of operations to support a self-sustaining cyclical economy, thereby achieving net-zero or net-positive environmental output. USP is soliciting reader input through comments and highly desirable examples of both successful and unsuccessful initiatives and efforts in this regard. This article, along with the comments received, is intended to lay the groundwork for an upcoming general chapter (above 〈1000〉).
