DEFINITION

Desoxycholic Acid contains NLT 97.0% and NMT 103.0% of desoxycholic acid (C24H40O4), calculated on the anhydrous basis. Desoxycholic Acid can be of animal or synthetic origin. FDA has not approved the use of animal-derived Desoxycholic Acid as a drug substance.
