 White Wax. This proposal is based on the version of the monograph to be official on August 1, 2024. On the basis of comments and data received, it is proposed to make the following changes:

1. Add the test for Content of Hydrocarbon and Ester under the new category Composition based on a GC method. The proposed gas chromatographic method is based on analyses performed with the Avantor Hichrom HI-5 HT brand of column with G27 phase. The typical retention times for tricosane, heptacosane, nonacosane, and hentriacontane are about 7.1, 11.5, 14.2, and 17.0 min, respectively.

 Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update the monograph to current USP style.
