DEFINITION

Ticarcillin and Clavulanic Acid for Injection is a sterile, dry mixture of Ticarcillin Disodium and Clavulanate Potassium. It contains the equivalent of NLT 90.0% and NMT 115.0% of the labeled amount of ticarcillin (C₁₅H₁₆N₂O₆S₂) and the equivalent of NLT 85.0% and NMT 120.0% of the labeled amount of clavulanic acid (C₈H₉NO₅). The labeled amounts represent proportions of ticarcillin to clavulanic acid of 15:1 or 30:1.
