BRIEFING

Stearoyl Polyoxylglycerides. This proposal is based on the version of the monograph official as of May 1, 2022. On the basis of comments received, it is proposed to revise the acceptance criteria of Hydroxyl Value and Saponification Value based on different manufacturing routes and the average nominal molecular weight of polyethylene glycol used accordingly. Also, specify the three different manufacturing routes of stearoyl polyoxylglycerides as A), B), and C) in the Definition.

Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update the monograph to current USP style.
