DEFINITION

Powdered Holy Basil Leaf is the pulverized dried leaf of Ocimum tenuiflorum L. (Fam. Lamiaceae). It contains NLT 0.5% of triterpenes, calculated as the sum of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid, on the dried basis.
