DEFINITION

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Concentrate consists of a concentrated viscous liquid prepared either by partial evaporation of water from the native leaf juice or by reconstitution from the dried leaf juice, both obtained from either the inner leaf or the whole leaf of Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. (Fam. Asphodelaceae). The juice concentrates are processed to contain NMT 0.05 μg/g of hydroxyanthracene-derived substances (aloins) on the single-strength basis. Other substances may be added as preservatives and stabilizers. It contains NLT 0.04% of acemannans, calculated as aloeverose on the single-strength juice basis.
