BRIEFING

 Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether. This proposal is based on the version of the monograph official as of January 1, 2018. See the Briefing for Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 350 and Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 550 appearing elsewhere in this issue of PF. The current monograph covers nominal average molecular weights ranging from 350 to 10,000 that include Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 350 and Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 550. On the basis of data received, it is proposed to develop separate NF monographs for Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 350 and Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 550. The Viscosity—Capillary Methods test of this monograph has been revised to remove Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 350 and Polyethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether 550.

 Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update the monograph to current USP style.
