DEFINITION

N-Acetyl-dl-tryptophan is obtained by acylation and racemization of l-tryptophan with acetic anhydride. It contains NLT 99.0% and NMT 101.0% of N-acetyl-dl-tryptophan (C₁₃H₁₄N₂O₃), calculated on the dried basis.
