BRIEFING

 Maltose. This proposal is based on the version of the monograph official as of January 1, 2023. In the Definition, to reflect the changes to the General Notices and Requirements published elsewhere in this issue of PF, it is proposed to delete the sentence containing a reference to General Notices, 5.60.10 Other Impurities in USP and NF Articles, and add the sentence “It may also contain other sugars.”

 Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update the monograph to current USP style.
