Gymnema

DEFINITION

Gymnema consists of the dried leaves of Gymnema sylvestre (Retz.) R. Br. ex Schult. (Fam. Asclepiadaceae). It contains NLT 1.0% of gymnemic acids, calculated as gymnemagenin on the dried basis.
