BRIEFING

 Hydroxypropyl Betadex. This proposal is based on the version of the monograph official as of November 1, 2020. On the basis of comments and supporting data received, it is proposed to revise the requirement of magnetic field strength from at least 6 Tesla to at least 1.4 Tesla in the Molar Substitution test to allow use of benchtop NMR.

 The reference to Tests for Specified Microorganisms 〈62〉 also is proposed for deletion to improve clarity, as no related acceptance criteria in this general chapter is applicable to the article.

 Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update the monograph to current USP style.
