DEFINITION

Malabar-Nut-Tree, Leaf, known in commerce as vasaka, consists of the dried leaves of Justicia adhatoda L. [syn. Adhatoda vasica Nees] (Fam. Acanthaceae). It contains NLT 0.6% of vasicine, calculated on the dried basis.
