DEFINITION

Conjugated Estrogens is a mixture of sodium estrone sulfate and sodium equilin sulfate, derived wholly or in part from equine urine or synthetically from estrone and equilin. It contains other conjugated estrogenic substances of the type excreted by pregnant mares. It may either be a dispersion of the estrogenic substances on a suitable powdered diluent or a solution of the estrogenic substances in alcohol.
