 Passionflower Aerial Parts Powder. A new USP monograph for this dietary ingredient is being proposed.

1. The liquid chromatographic procedure in the test for Content of Flavonoids was conducted using the Phenomenex Luna C18 brand of L1 column with 5-µm packing. The typical retention times for apigenin-6,8-di-C-glycoside, orientin-6"-O-glycoside, apigenin-6-C-pentoside-8-C-glycoside, orientin, homoorientin, vitexin-2"-O-glycoside, vitexin, isovitexin, and swertisin are 15.2, 16.5, 17.1, 17.3, 17.8, 18.4, 21.2, 22.8, and 25.6 min, respectively.

2. A new table format has been introduced in Identification A to describe the System suitability and Acceptance criteria. USP welcomes feedback from stakeholders about the proposal of this new format.
