DEFINITION

Powdered Turmeric Extract is prepared from the pulverized rhizomes of Curcuma longa L. (Fam. Zingiberaceae), using acetone, methanol, or other suitable solvents. It contains NLT 20% of curcuminoids, calculated on the dried basis. It may contain other added substances.
