Dextran 1. This proposal is based on the version of monograph official as of May 1, 2020. It is proposed to make the following changes:

Add the CAS number to the Chemical Information section.

Add the Mobile phase as diluent for the preparation of the Calibration solution in the test for Molecular Weight Distribution and Average Molecular Weight.

Specify the exact average molecular weight range (i.e., 850–1150) in the Definition section.

To remove the test for Tests for Specified Microorganisms 〈62〉, as there is no specific requirement for the specified microorganism mentioned in the monograph.
Additionally, minor editorial changes have been made to update the monograph to current USP style.
