DEFINITION

Cosyntropin is a synthetic peptide whose sequence is identical to the first 24 amino acids of human adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Cosyntropin contains NLT 90% and NMT 102% of cosyntropin (C₁₃₆H₂₁₀N₄₀O₃₁S), calculated on the anhydrous, acetic acid-free basis.
