The Definition includes description at the species and strain level; the strain currently proposed in this publication is Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. boulardii CNCM I-3799. This proposal includes nucleic acid-based identification at the strain level. Other strains will be included in this monograph upon submission of the corresponding supporting information by manufacturers.
