Cordyceps sinensis Fruiting Body

BRIEFING

Cordyceps sinensis Fruiting Body. A new USP monograph for this dietary ingredient is being proposed. Validation data for the liquid chromatographic procedure in the test for Content of Fatty Acids and Ergosterol were obtained using the Agilent Poroshell 120 EC-C8 brand of column with L7 packing. The typical retention times for linoleic acid, oleic acid, and ergosterol are about 9.2, 14.3, and 23.1 min, respectively. Validation data for the liquid chromatographic procedure in Identification C were obtained using the Waters XSelect HSS T3 brand of column with L1 packing. The typical retention times for uridine, adenosine, guanosine, and inosine are about 15.7, 18.4, 25.6, and 26.8 min, respectively.
