Fennel Fruit. A new monograph for this dietary ingredient is being proposed. Validation data for the gas chromatographic method in the test for Content of Anethole, Monoterpenoids, and Estragole were obtained using the Agilent DB-WAX brand of column with G16 phase. The typical retention times for limonene, fenchone, estragole, and anethole are 7.1, 10.4, 14.0, and 15.7 min, respectively.
