BRIEFING

Perilla Fruit. A new USP monograph for this dietary ingredient is being proposed. Validation data for the liquid chromatographic procedure in the test for Content of Caffeic Acid Esters were obtained using the Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 brand of column with L1 packing. The typical retention times for salviaflaside and rosmarinic acid are about 14.3 and 19.0 min, respectively.
