Siler Root Dry Extract
DEFINITION
Siler Root Dry Extract is prepared by extraction with water from the dried roots of Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz. ex Ledeb.) Schischk. (Fam. Apiaceae). The roots are collected in spring or autumn before or after the growth of flowering stems, and rootlets are removed. It contains NLT 90% and NMT 110% of the labeled amount of total chromones calculated as the sum of prim-O-glucosylcimifugin (C22H28O11), cimifugin (C16H18O6), 5-O-methylvisammioside (C22H28O10), and sec-O-glucosylhamaudol (C21H26O10) on the dried basis. It may contain suitable added substances as carriers.
