DEFINITION

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice consists of a liquid prepared either by expression directly from the whole leaf or the inner leaf of Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. (Fam. Asphodelaceae), by reconstitution of the powder, or by the dilution of the concentrated juice to the level of native juice. The juice is processed to contain NMT 0.05 μg/g of hydroxyanthracene-derived substances (aloins). Other substances may be added as preservatives or stabilizers. It contains NLT 0.04% of acemannan, calculated as aloeverose.
