DEFINITION
l-alpha-Glycerylphosphorylcholine (l-alpha-GPC) is obtained by base-catalyzed transesterification of enriched phosphatidylcholine soy lecithin extract and subsequent physicochemical purification processes. l-alpha-Glycerylphosphorylcholine is anhydrous or an aqueous solution containing NLT 14.0% and NMT 16.0% of water. It contains NLT 98.0% and NMT 102.0% of l-alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine (C8H20NO6P), calculated on the anhydrous basis.
