DESCRIPTION
Glucosamine Sulfate Sodium Chloride occurs as a white powder or crystalline powder. It is manufactured using chitin or chitosan that has been extracted from shells of crustacea (such as crabs and shrimps) or from bones of mollusca (such as squid and cuttlefish) and then hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid, substituted with sulfuric acid, and then bound to sodium chloride. The pH of a 2% (w/v) aqueous solution of Glucosamine Sulfate Sodium Chloride is approximately 3.0–5.0.
