The spectra included in this section have been published in previous versions of the Food Chemicals Codex as part of individual monographs. Comparison of samples to the spectra in this section does not satisfy monograph requirements for any of the samples represented by these images. These spectra are included for general information only, and users are required to comply with all of the tests in individual monographs in order to meet monograph specifications. ​As such, in cases where a monograph requires comparison of a sample IR spectrum to that of a Reference Standard, users may not substitute comparison to images in this section to meet monograph requirements.
