DESCRIPTION

Octyl Gallate occurs as a white to creamy-white crystalline odorless solid. It is insoluble in water and freely soluble in ethanol, ether, and propane-1,2-diol. Octyl Gallate is produced by the esterification of gallic acid with octanol, in the presence of an anhydrous strong acid, followed by isolation and purification process.
