Ammonium Polyphosphate occurs as an aqueous solution. It is a heterogeneous mixture of ammonium salts of linearly condensed polyphosphoric acids of general formula H_n+2P_nO_3n+1. The pH of a 1:100 aqueous solution is between 4.0 and 9.0.
