DESCRIPTION
Stearyl Citrate occurs as a cream-colored, unctuous substance. It is a mixture of the mono-, di-, and tri-stearyl esters of citric acid. Stearyl Citrate is prepared by esterifying citric acid with stearyl alcohol. It is soluble in hot ethanol and is insoluble in water and in cold ethanol.
