DESCRIPTION

Sodium Sulfate occurs as colorless crystals or as a fine, white, crystalline powder. It is anhydrous or contains 10 molecules of water of crystallization. The decahydrate is efflorescent. It is freely soluble in water and practically insoluble in alcohol. A 1:20 aqueous solution is neutral or slightly alkaline to litmus paper.
