DESCRIPTION
Lavender Oil occurs as a colorless or yellow liquid with the characteristic odor and taste of lavender flowers. It is the volatile oil obtained by steam distillation from the fresh flowering tops of Lavandula officinalis Chaix ex Villars (Lavandula vera De Candolle) (Fam. Labiatae). It is soluble in alcohol and in most vegetable oils, but is insoluble in propylene glycol.
