DESCRIPTION

Propyl Gallate occurs as a fine, white to nearly white powder. It is slightly soluble in water and freely soluble in alcohol and in ether. Propyl Gallate is produced by the esterification of gallic acid with propanol, catalyzed by strong acids such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, followed by isolation and purification process.
