DESCRIPTION

Glyceryl Monostearate occurs as a white, wax-like solid, as flakes, or as beads. It is a mixture of Glyceryl Monostearate and glyceryl monopalmitate. It may contain a suitable antioxidant. It is soluble in hot organic solvents such as acetone, alcohol, and ether and in mineral or fixed oils. It is dispersible in hot water with the aid of soap or suitable surfactants.
