DESCRIPTION

Ferrous Lactate occurs as a green-white powder or as crystals. The levo enantiomer occurs as the dihydrate, and the racemic mixture occurs as the trihydrate. It is sparingly soluble in water and practically insoluble in ethanol. A 1:50 aqueous solution has a pH between 5 and 6.
