DESCRIPTION

Calcium Propionate occurs as white crystals or as a crystalline solid. It is produced by reacting calcium hydroxide (lime) with propionic acid. The pH of a 1:10 aqueous solution is between 7.5 and 10.5. One g dissolves in about 3 mL of water.
