DESCRIPTION

Acidified Sodium Chlorite (ASC) Solutions occur as clear, colorless to pale yellow liquids. The ASC Solutions are equilibrium mixtures of sodium chlorite (NaClO₂) and chlorous acid (HClO₂). ASC Solutions are produced by lowering the pH of a sodium chlorite solution with a safe and suitable acid to achieve a pH within the range 2.3 to 3.9 depending on the intended use.
